At Arizona Liver Health, we’re lucky to have many incredible women who bring their knowledge, experience and compassion to our patients every day.

From our physicians and advanced practice providers to the women who keep our clinics and teams running, their work is a big part of what makes ALH what it is.

This month is especially for all the women in healthcare who have paved the way, continue to break barriers and make their mark every day: we see you, we appreciate you and we’re proud to stand alongside you.

Today we celebrate an extraordinary milestone—Dr. Richard Manch's 50th year in medicine.

As a founding member of Arizona Liver Health, Dr. Manch helped bring to life a vision that specialized liver care should be accessible within the communities where patients live—not limited to academic medical centers. That vision has grown into the nation's largest outpatient liver program, providing comprehensive care for thousands of patients across Arizona.

Throughout his career, Dr. Manch has played a pivotal role in advancing liver transplantation, pioneering telehealth initiatives, mentoring future hepatologists, and improving the diagnosis and treatment of liver disease. Most importantly, he has remained deeply committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to every individual he serves.

His leadership, innovation, and dedication have helped shape hepatology in Arizona and continue to inspire our physicians, providers, and staff every day.

"The really cool thing about my medical career is that I enjoy the work more with each day. I seem to have evolved along with the changes going on around me and have been fortunate to be able to be in a practice environment which provides me continued professional and personal satisfaction. I enjoy my patients and my colleagues greatly and when Mondays come around, I look forward to coming to work. What could be better!" — Dr. Richard Manch

Congratulations, Dr. Manch, on 50 incredible years in medicine. Thank you for your remarkable legacy and for changing countless lives.

Happy 50 Years in Medicine!

Today marks a global call to action: there are 8 billion reasons to act on obesity. More than 1 billion people worldwide are living with obesity, and by 2035, half the world could be overweight or obese if we don’t change course.

Obesity is a complex, chronic disease — influenced by biology, environment, and access to care — and it increases the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and other serious health conditions.

At Arizona Liver Health | Arizona Clinical Trials, we combine compassionate patient care with innovative clinical research in weight management and metabolic health. We are proud to offer:
• Advanced obesity and metabolic clinical trials
• Access to emerging treatment options

If you’re struggling with weight management, you may qualify for one of our clinical research studies. Participating in a trial can provide access to new therapies while helping advance future care.

On World Obesity Day, we encourage you to explore your options and take the next step toward better health.
