PSC (primary sclerosing cholangitis) is a chronic (and rare) liver disease in which the bile ducts inside and outside the liver become inflamed and scarred, and eventually narrowed or blocked. This causes bile to build up causing further liver damage.
Symptoms include: pain in the abdomen, itchy skin, diarrhea, yellowish color of the whites of eyes & skin (jaundice), feeling tired/weak, fever. A large amount of people with PSC also have inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis or crohns).
